8pm. Dark Outside. 99 degrees. When will this end?
About to head home after a long day. It's hot outside, but the sun won't be beating down. It should be a nice ride with the warm air blowing in my face. It is like riding where the entire length of my ride is in the shade.
Last night was another good night of bike polo. I sure hope some of my compadres wise up and start wearing helmets to play. I don't want it on my conscious to run into one of them and cause them to fall, hitting their head and dying. (Not really wanting them to die, either.) It's not like we aren't riding aggressively out there.
Work Update:
I spent most of the day today moving work items from our older open-source bug-tracking system (Mantis) to our new, expensive Microsoft TFS system. TFS has some cool features and overall will be useful with all of the tools to help manage the whole software process, but it is a pain to get used to. It isn't as easily configurable as Mantis.
So I once again have an additional job title and additional responsibilities here at the workplace. I am now the software project manager. Essentially I drive the software development process here. This is in addition to my QA responsibilites, which wasn't really short on work. On the other hand, the software PM gig is where I have wanted to go for quite some time. So this is a great opportunity for me. I am looking forward to digging in and seeing what I can help our company accomplish.
