Saturday is the G-Ted Death ride Invitational ride, but unfortunately it doesn't look like I have means to get there and do the ride. That is one I had hoped to join in on. Essentially it looks to be a long haul trucker ride on the gravel of Iowa. TransIowa was a blast, and I wanted some more. I was also hoping to show my interest in another TI for next year. We'll see if that happens, but the feeling I got from Mark was that it may not happen next year. It was a ton of work for him, but I don't think that is the main factor (by itself) that could cause that decision. In the midst of Mark organizing and promoting this as a free event, there were people grumbling and complaining about this and that. No class. Anyway, I do hope it happens again this coming year or next, as it would be on the top of my list of rides to participate in.
Tonight is Fred's birthday throw-down. Could get a little out hand, as they often do with team birthday shindigs. The patio tends to stay pretty chilled, but you get a bunch of bike riders and their bikes and their beer and their booze, and things can change pretty quickly. I'm glad I live only a short bike ride away.

You will be missed Saturday.
It's hard to believe anyone would have complained. Not that anyone should at an event with more organizers. Those types would show their thoughtlessness at a funeral.
I didn't know you were planning on coming. Now I'm sad. See you at the next TI for sure. I can guarantee some arm twisting from me if Mark waivers. And I don't think there would be a lack of help if it was asked for.
Oops, "waver".
Ahh....I see Cory had this linked on his last post, (your blog, not this particular post) and I checked it out to see here that you are hoping for another T.I.
Well, first of all, it would have been so cool to have you at the GTDRI last weekend.
Now as for T.I.: I see dp had this cool Yazoo wool jersey. If I was able to get my mits on one o those, I think it would go a long ways towards your goal. (Just kiddin! I'd pay for it!)
Anyway, I'm more than half way there. Help has been offered. Plans are being discussed.
Keep yer fingers crossed. :)
