It's hot outside. On the days this week that I rode my bike in to the office, it was already over 90 and humid out there by 9am or so. I hope summer passes quickly.

In other news, I am heading tomorrow afternoon to the West Texas town of Abilene for the weekend. Oddly enough, as hot as it is here, it will probably be more bearable down there. It will be a dryer heat, which is more comfortable to me. Who would ever think of going to Texas in August for a break from the weather?

It has been a mostly uneventful week for me. I read Harry Potter numero 7 over the weekend and went to a couple of little shindigs. This week has been pretty slow, as well. Last night the excitement got turned up a little bit for a couple games of bocce. Other than that it's been workin........

My riding since Mitchell has been limited to commuting to work. This should change soon. But I am not going to face the heat until I am ready to do so.
